One of the most iconic console games ever, Call of Duty: Black Ops, has created a PC version of the game as well. However, those who want to run it on their own PC server are out of luck. That's because the production studios Treyarch and Activision have announced that GamerServers.com will provide exclusive dedicated server hosting.

The ranked servers will be available for $14.95 per month and come with a max player limit of 18. GamerServers will offer discounts for monthly prepays, and there are also unranked servers being offered for $.99 per month per player, with a max player limit of 24. Treyarch has emphasized that the dedicated servers it hosts for the game will stay free. The company believes that this is the bets way to combat cheating and hacking mods which give some players an unfair advantage in the game.
